Gay Marriage in NC
I choose to focus this rant on the singular topic of the right for gays to marry and the ignorant bullshit I’ve been subjected to reading on facebook this week from all those “Christian folk” Let me start with a few quotes:
“Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!”
“The sanctity of marriage has been preserved rejoice!”
“Marriage is between a man and woman.period.”
“God’s will always prevails!”
To those I had the privilege of attending Christian school with:
I would like to encourage you to look beyond the tiny “Bob Jones University Curriculum Bubbles” they have been in for their entire lives of education. In a health book I had in 7th grade at GCS, it listed rock and roll music as unhealthy and a sin. — Guess that knocks out P.O.D., Toby Mac and all those other “christian hard rockers” — sorry guys. That was slightly irrelevant, but just saying that’s the kind of things in those text books.
To them and all other Bible Thumpers:
Secondly, do y’all even know ONE gay person? TWO? THREE? Probably not. I encourage you to meet one. Careful though, I hear its contagious.
The sanctity of marriage.
Kim Kardashian’s really setting the example of how holy that can be between a man and a woman. But a 75 year old gay couple that has been together for 50 years would really destroy the sanctity of marriage if they were to be able to get married. I saw on the news a few weeks ago that a woman married herself. Is that gay? It happened.
Drinking, Smoking, Premarital Sex.
None of y’all commit those sins so keep throwin the stones at those gays. (P.S. don’t post your pictures from last Saturday at Coyote Joe’s .. I can see them and so can the rest of the world)
